Burrito Eating Challenge

November 3, 2023 - Dia de Los Muertos

Contest Rules:

The event begins at 7pm.
You will be given a burrito filled with rice, beans, chicken and Montezuma’s special hot sauce.
Today there is no charge for the burrito.
When the timer begins you must complete the task of consuming this burrito in 20 minutes.
You are only allowed to drink water during the challenge.
No one is permitted to help you eat it.
You may not go to the bathroom during the challenge. If you do, you are disqualified.
If you throw up, you are disqualified.
After the competition we will have a glass of mil for participants.

Prizes for each contest/challenge will be:

1st Place - a $100 gift certificate to La Tinedita and a La Tiendita t-shirt!

2nd Place - a $50 gift certificate to La Tiendita and a La Tinedita T-shirt!

3rd Place - a $25 gift certificate to La Tiendita and a La Tinedita T-shirt!

4th and 5th place - a hug at La Tiendita!

Face Painting Contest

November 3, 2023 - Dia de Los Muertos

Contest Rules:

The event begins on the day of the event at 6pm

Bring you A-game sugar skull face painting!

Face paint must be related to sugar skulls traditional face painting and/or art and be related to die de los muertos.

Take a photo or have someone take a picture of you eating or drinking at La Tiendita the night of the event

Email your photo to2de. You have until end of day (11:59pm) Saturday, November the 4th to do so.

We will post your photo on our Facebook page, /latienditamexicanrestaurant and our Instagram page, /latienditarestaurant and you will have two full days (Nov 6th and 7th) to rally the troops to cast their votes. Voting instructions will be posted when the voting starts on Monday, November 6th.

Voting ends Tuesday, November 7th at 11:59pm.

We will announce the winners on Wednesday, November 8th on Facebook and Instagram.

You can come pick up your prizes at 1840 N Monroe Street in Tallahassee at our restaurant where it all began with the taking of the photo.

Prizes left unclaimed for more than 15 days will be forfeited.
